who else has proclaimed Jehovah's name around the world?

You are right only JW's, but wait a minute wasn't the name "Jehovah" first used in 1270 by Raymundus Martini in his book "Puegeo Fidei". At least that is what the Watchtower book "Aid to bible understanding" from 1970 says about the name.

So, a made up name, there are lots of discussions on this.

So using a made-up-name for God is certainly nothing to boast about.

i wanted to stay off the radar but since i'm getting dis-fellowshipped anyways and have no plans to come back what the hell.

I lied to the elders

i stopped attending meetings all together in january 2015. before that my attendance was irregular at best.

my husband followed suit a few months ago after months of research, agony, and indecision on his part.

from the very beginning i laid low and did not share with anyone what i found out about the witnesses because i did not want to be df'd.

"catch me if you can game"

I like that expression, get on with your life without the JWs. They have no authority over you, and play the "catch me if you can game", the more busy they are with such ridiculous things like chasing you and your husband, the less time they have to pester other people. I takes very little effort on your part, but a great deal on their part. Just refuse to talk to them point blank. What can they do, absolutely nothing, they cannot even DF you for saying nothing. If you are requested to go to a "Witch Trial" mention it on here, and you will get lots a differing advice to choose from, depending on what suits you. There are different methods of dealing with this.

In my case, my wife turned me into the Elders, our marriage is now at an end. It is great for you that your husband sticks to you, buy him a beer from me.

However it goes forward for you, I wish you every happiness for the future.

Where do I start telling a psychologist about the mental trauma I feel as a fading jw?

i am on a pension, so i could not afford to pay for a psychologist, but my good doctor referred me to a free clinic for people on a low income, for my anxiety and depression, so i have finally got my first appointment with a psychologist since i started my fade, so where do i start trying to explain the mental trauma i feel as a fading jw?

i would appreciate your advice.

On the first session I started to cry after a few sentences and he took it from there.

WBTS goes to Court of Appeal (Charity Commission investigation)

after a number of high profile cases where both children and survivors clearly weren't adequately protected, the charity commission here in the uk launched an investigation into the wbts as a whole here in britain.

the main concerns are around the child safeguarding policies being inadequate.

wbts have fought every step of the way so far.. wbts have been to the high court, who told them to complain to the proper tribunal.. wbts have been to the proper tribunal, who told them that too darn right there were suitable grounds for the charity commission to want to investigate their inability to protect children.. and now the wbts have gone back to the court of appeal to demand that the charity commission inquiry be halted.. i hope the court of appeal tells them that, yes, they too need to have proper safeguarding measures for children and to get on with co-operating with the investigation.. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/charity-commission-defends-its-investigation-into-jehovahs-witness-charity-in-the-court-of-appeal.

Look what happened with the Royal Commission in Australia. Most of Europe are not really concerned with Australia, but the UK is a different matter. Any s*** hitting the fan in the UK is going to make the other European countries take a serious look at things, and the bOrg knows that.

That is why they are fighting this, in my opinion.

I must say Cognitive Dissonance really does have a hold on you.

I was like you, I looked for every and any conceivable reason to justify the actions of the Magnificent Seven.

It took me a long time to realize how strong Cognitive Dissonance can be.

But I am happy for you that you are open to discussion, keep it up, and you may realize that you are being manipulated and used.
